Only a few buyers could afford luxury on wheels like this fabulous Coupe which was as expensive as a small downtown appartment at the time.
This BMW 503 was delivered to the Swiss BMW dealer “Motag” in Zürich, in September 1956.
The second owner, Roland Hirt, purchased the car in 1964 from the motor company “Auto-Bole” in Lausanne and decided to bring the car to the famous Swiss coachworker ghia-Aigle, to create a front similar to the one of a Maserati 3500 GT vignale.
There are photos of that time which show the car shortly after completion. In 1976, Hirt sold this special BMW 503 Coupé. Subsequent owners are well documented. The car has been extensively restored over the last years.
