Benjamin was the automobile manufacturer producing small cars called “cyclecars”. The company was founded in 1921 by Maurice Jeanson, the famous industrialist, who at that time produced at the suburb of Paris a hydroplanes. The after-war season wasn't really lucky for the aircraft production, therefore Maurice Jeanson started with the production of cars. The first models Type A, Type B and Type C had very small two-stroke engines with the capacity from 547cc to 815cc.
The high-end car was introduced in 1925 as a model 7/22. The chassis has been modernized thanks to the experience of racing. The two-stroke engine was replaced by the four-stroke, four-cylinder Chapuis-Dornier with the capacity of 1.100 cc. This Benjamin 7/22 is unrestored condition and now requires the effort and the time.
