Built at the Audincourt factories between 1911 and 1912, the Peugeot type 138 was a 12bhp car available in touring and sport versions. Modern and well-designed, some 925 examples were produced.
The example presented is equipped with a type HA engine used just for the touring version, and has retained its original and elegant torpedo coachwork. A Peugeot certificate in the file confirms that the car left the factory on 15 March 1912, destined for Paris.
Produite au sein des usines d'Audincourt entre 1911 et 1912, la Peugeot type 138 était une 12cv disponible en version tourisme ou sport. Moderne et bien conçue, elle fut produite à 925 unités.
L'exemplaire présenté est équipé du moteur de type HA, dédié à la version tourisme, et est habillé d'une élégante carrosserie torpédo d'origine. Une attestation Peugeot jointe au dossier confirme qu'il est sorti d'usine le 15 mars 1912 et qu'il était à destination de Paris.
